Filler Injections

When the issue you have with your eyes is bags or sagging under your eyes, the solution may be as easy as having filler injections under your eyes. Restalyne and other fillers are designed to plump up the skin, making it look fresher and younger than it did before.

These fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid which is a chemical that is naturally found in the human body. It bonds with water molecules to plump and fill in the skin that has become saggy or wrinkled and can look extremely natural in the process.

Botox Injections

If crow's feet in the corners of the eyes are the issue that you are most concerned about, then Botox injections may be a good option to help you out. While Botox is not ideal for wrinkles or sagging under the eyes, it can be helpful for crow's feet.

Botox helps to relax the muscles in the face by blocking the signals from the nerves to the muscles. This can relax those muscles around your eyes, reducing the prevalence or severity of wrinkles.

Blepharoplasty Procedure

There are also surgical options available to help you with eye problems. If you have saggy eyelids, whether they are on the top or bottom, a blepharoplasty procedure can help. Essentially, what happens is you will have some of the tissue of your eyelid removed. The eyelid will then be stretched out tightly over the eye and put into place.

Plastic surgeons will perform this surgery under extreme circumstances. If the bottom eyelid is drooping so far that the white of the eye is fully exposed or the sagging of the upper eyelid is so bad that it makes it difficult to open the eye entirely, these are circumstances that would call for blepharoplasty.

Now that you know more about some of the procedures that can help with your cosmetic eye issues, you can decide which treatment option or options are best for you. Then, you can contact a plastic surgeon to schedule your appointment as soon as possible.
